Here's how to use and respect pronouns/ and be inclusive of transgender, non-binary/gender fluid and gender nonconforming, agender folk while speaking hindi; a helpful thread
Apparently in Hindi everything is either masculine or feminine. However there are plural pronouns that are also used formally as a symbol of respect to the elderly/people of authority. These pronouns can be used for them instead (1/n)
In pure hindi the pronoun "वह" is used instead of she/he and can also be used for them since it's used for both and can be deemed NB and when speaking formally "यह" is used for she/he which can again be used for enbies/gender fluid people (2/n)
Now coming to her/him/them, her is "उसे/उसकी" and him/his is " उसे/उसका", them/their is "उन्हें/उनके". In this case "उसे" can be considered as gender neutral and therefore you can use it for enbies while speaking informally but just to be on the safer side+ (3/n)
"उन्हें" (also formal) should be used instead bc it's respectful along w being inclusive. Hindi is a vast language like many others therefore there's more to it than just the pronouns. When talking in sentences remember that a sentence has+ (4/n)
A subject (person doing the action), a verb, object (whoever/whatever receives the action). In most cases the subject is you and the object is the other person for example; "mai usko(gender neutral word) samjha rahi thi".Here 'mai' is the subject, 'usko' is the object and+ (5/n)
'samjha rahi thi' is the action, since hindi has either masculine, feminine or plural words instead of 'samjha rahi thi/raha tha', you can use 'samjha rahe the'(plural/formal).
More examples include, gaya tha/gayi thi/gaye the, laga tha/lagi thi/lage the, etc (6/n)

Whereas in short sentences or two word sentences/questions that end like "khayega/khayegi/khayenge, aayega/aayegi/aayenge, aaya/aai/aaye,laya/lai/laye,samjha/samjhi/samjhe" are some examples of how you can use the masculine, feminine and the plural/formal words to address +(7/n)
People based on their preferred pronouns. Now there's neopronouns too.Neopronouns can be used by
anyone, though most often they are used by transgender, NB, agender and gender nonconforming people. Also neopronouns are valid please don't invalidate people who use them :) (8/n)

Until now there are no neopronouns in hindi that I know of :( if I find anything related to it,I will update the thread. So until then there is no choice but to use they/them and formal words for the NB,transgender and gender nonconforming people in lieu of neopronouns. (9/n)
Pls rt for visibility, there was no ill intent behind this thread and I spent my time doing research so that even while talking in hindi, people don't misgender others. If this thread needs improvement/correction pls feel free to dm me. Also NB here means Non Binary.
Sorry for any typos but pls focus on the point here
