why “black on black crime” doesn’t exist: A thread
there’s a lot of confusion surrounding the term “black on black crime.” it is weaponized by the mainstream media/white supremacists to justify the inhumane treatment and disregard they show for black people and our lives.
it is so much easier to justify police killing us when they use a defenseless argument that “well they kill them selves.” “how can they say black lives matter and they don’t even care about themselves.”
black people have an assumed “communal” relationship/ duty to each other that other races don’t. that’s why you always hear “the black community, the black community thinks, etc.”
we are labeled and forced into a conglomerate. it’s easier to put things away if you label them...
the fact that they label us together makes it look as if common crime is treason against our community and even more reason to hate us..

unless black people are saying “i’m finna rob that dude cause he’s black.” black on black crime doesn’t exist.
people rob those CLOSEST to them.

and crime breeds out of NEED.

if you NEED money for rent and you have no alternatives— no government assistance, no livable wage paying jobs, no mutual aid fund— it is literal human nature to seek the things you need.
i’m not justifying crime— but i do understand why it occurs/ and why it has a tendency to occur so frequently in the urban core/ against our own people.
America has always valued white lives/property more.

if you don’t have the car to get out to beverly hills, you’re gonna stay in Compton and harm those nearest to you. you also know that the cops would be more angry if you were to cause rob white people— they’re “worth more.”
i’ve seen black people go on rampages in town hall meetings about “black on black crime.” get us what we need and there won’t be any crime. but when KCPD gets 273 mil and houseless initiatives get 2 mil, somebody might find it necessary to take your shit.
so instead of looking to the cops who come, scribble some words, and never follow up as saviors. look at them for what they are— budget hogs. they get all the money and don’t do anything to prevent crime. when they start investing money into schools/ community, we’ll see change😇
