Trump's aggressive signaling that's he's running in 2024 may have both a "projection" and a criminal defense angle:

2. If/when indictments come, Trump will claim it's a "witch hunt" conspiracy by the Left to preemptively attempt to remove him from the field b/c Democrats are afraid of him, and can't beat him fairly...or even by cheating twice in row....2/

3. Trump will claim the Dems are using the criminal justice system to silence/punish their political enemy, & to disenfranchise his 74 million voters.
