I think it’s really important to focus on learning with the tools you have on hand. I understand getting new toys is the best, but mastering a plug-in or piece of hardware that you own is vital to unlocking certain levels. I also understand that new stuff has new and exciting(1/3
features too, But sometimes what you are looking for is in front of you the whole time. So if you are ever bummed about not getting the latest and greatest, just use that as an opportunity to really focus on what you already have. Some of the craziest sounds I’ve made (2/3)
Have come from plug-ins I’ve had since like 10th grade. (And freeware too) I definitely plan on copping some cool new synths this holiday season, but I think I am also going to use this time to really try to juice every last drop out of what I already have
