I love this fandom with all my heat. I've become a better artist, writer and musician because of the so many creatives this fandom has to offer. Heck, I'm gonna be doing a little voice acting soon for a fandom animator. HOWEVER, plenty of people have jumped the "brony ship" https://twitter.com/sarahndipity212/status/1332831972457115649
because of the reasons Sarah just pointed out. This fandom is like leeches to their content creators. Once someone tries to stretch their arms to something else, or try to take a break, the fandom goes "ay wtf?". It's like the fandom can't fathom a brony creative to
try other things. Again, love the fandom, but we are SO god dang toxic towards the artists, cosplayers, musicians, etc. because their audience feels they should only do pony stuff. Bish, no. A content creator should create whatever content they feel like.
Sarah, I do not believe we have ever engaged in conversation before, but I want to say that I am so sorry that you are not feeling contempt with the fandom that once gave you safety and security. No one should EVER have to go through what you did. The fact that you experienced
all that in a fandom that should be about love and friendship is an embarrassment on this community. If you ultimately choose to leave, I would not blame you in the slightest.
This fandom NEEDS to be better at not being entitled babies, creeps, alt-right/nazi sympathizers, and so many other things that plague this community. We NEED to do better. I more and more understand as to why some people I follow jumped shipped recently and years ago
