3 years ago, I quit a chronic sport betting habit. Never looked back.
Crazy how I never won a single game but kept the streak on, because I knew people who did. Kept believing one day I'd beat the "cut-one" curse.
Never won, even once. Delved into virtual gaming, that was the beginning of my end. Didn't take so long to go broke-broke, strongly addicted, and depressed.

By then you'd think I'd stop? Nayyy, I kept going on and on. Like anytime I decide it'd be the last, I'll win a bet.
Funny how I'd win, play on till I lose all of it - again.

Will I leave? Hahaha I get Coconut head naa. I'll continue till I'm in the boardman's debt record atleast 4/5 figures daily.
I had just graduated, pending NYSC, but was taking mostly contracts jobs and freelance. On a normal, I should have been comfortable, atleast.

But I'd be so indebted in advance, for the next months. One day, I had to call a friend (T) to cover my tabs. Shame catch me.
Friends that looked up to me, virtual betting, "Okpo" as fondly called, brought me down to the lowest. Omo!
