Folks need to pay closer attention to housing reclamation struggles. That area of the work is going to explode next year out of necessity. It will be a major site of struggle against neoliberal governance and monied players who are profiting from our suffering right now.
Everyone should have a friend who knows how to change locks btw. If you don't, you may want to work on that this winter.
We are going to need to be more invested in each other than in this system on a level that most people haven't envisioned before, let alone experienced. Neoliberalism is not Trumpism, but it will displace and dispose of people en masse in its own ways unless we fight.
Some people who are not going to be evicted from their homes, whose needs will be met, will call us ungrateful for rejecting Democratic crumbs. They will say we are ungrateful, as tho we have them to thank for delivering us from Trump, as opposed to ourselves, who did the voting.
Fighting mass displacement is going to be hugely important in this era of collapse. Mass displacement, as a form of structural maintenance (sustaining capitalism, for example), leads to mass disposal. It's a matter of what shape that disposal takes.
Be ready to defend land and housing.
