I work with an organization called Ecominga in Ecuador, who do a crucial job in protecting endangered rainforest. However, their valuable work is under threat, having been accused of causing 'discontent' in the local community. (1)

Knowing their holistic approach to conservation, and how closely they work with the indigenous people, I don't think this could be further from the truth. As one example, they spent their time and resources delivering food to the most remote villages during the COVID crisis. (2)
It is suspected that this is an attempt by pro-mining politicians to turn the community against them, and undermine their efforts to protect the rainforest.
Tomorrow they will have a meeting with the village council to discuss the complaints and justify their work (3)

It would be incredibly valuable if everyone could spread this response of theirs as widely as possible before tomorrow.
Having as many eyes as possible on the decision makers may well influence the outcome, and so much depends on it. (4)
