THREAD: This has been the worst College Football season in recent memory. My argument:
There’s 2 weeks of regular season college football left. 2. It doesn’t feel like that long ago when we were just getting back into action. This season has flew by and overall... has been forgettable and underwhelming
The main issue is star power. We were spoiled with bonafide stars last season such as Burrow, Tua, Chase Young, Fromm, Lamb, Hurts, Jeudy, Jefferson and much more. The 2020 Draft absolutely scorched CFB of its biggest stars more so than any draft I can previously remember.
Entering this season, the 3 biggest remaining stars were Trevor Lawrence, Justin Fields and Ja’Marr Chase. Chase opted out, and with 2 weeks left in the regular season, Lawrence and Fields have played a combined 10 games. Only 3 of which have come against ranked opposition.
We’ve lost Jaylen Waddle to injury.
Oklahoma’s string of elite QB play has come to an end with Spencer Rattler.
Jake Fromm was replaced with Stetson Bennett.
And soon as we see a “star in the making” type performance....Graham Mertz tests positive for Coronavirus.

In the B1G East, Penn State and Michigan have both disappointed on an absurd scale. Neither posing the slightest threat to Ohio State, who by the way, are technically NOT playoff eligible because they’ve only got 6 scheduled games due to cancellations.
PJ Fleck and Minnesota have been a huge let down after their incredible 2019 season.
The Big12 tore itself to SHREDS just in a matter of a few weeks to begin the season, with everyone beating everyone, thus basically eliminating the entire conference from the CFB playoff.

The Pac12 has once again STUNK with their only glimmer of playoff hope, Oregon, sh*tting the nest against inferior opposition on Friday night, where the biggest talking point from the game, was a reporter talking about how her niece got hit with a block of ice a few years ago.
We have had only 2 games all season between top 15 teams, with a spread of less than 10. That’s all. 2 games.
Frankly, one of the only sparks of excitement this season has been the emergence of 2 undefeated group of 5 teams, Cincinnati and BYU. The latter of which, got screwed over by the playoff committee who have them ranked at #14 with only 1 game left on their schedule.
I’ll finish with this:
Considering the outlook 3 months ago, we’re lucky we even have college football in 2020. And I understand a lot of things I listed are a product of the global pandemic.
It’s just been kinda terrible... thanks for reading.
