Sarah Fuller squibbed it exactly where she was supposed to (watch Vanderbilt's coverage guys all funneling short right) and left it un-returnable for Mizzou. Probably one of Vandy's best executed plays of the day in all honestly
With a kicker who's never kicked before? Yeah, probably. This kick left Mizzou with no possibility of a return, flipped the field, and created a decent chance of a fumble if the guy mishandled the bounce. It was a very solid effort https://twitter.com/buckmetrics/status/1332761368538140672
Anyway Vanderbilt's coverage players to her left were angling toward the right sideline before the ball even left her foot, and anyone acting like this wasn't a designed squib is being real stupid. It wasn't some flub that was designed to reach the end zone for a touchback
"What about the field position?"
If a team grabbed a QB off the street and had him throw a checkdown for a five-yard completion, you'd say "wow, great plan and execution!" A woman kicker plays football for the first time ever and suddenly no one's ever seen a squib before lol
