1/ NC SC-2 data post for 11/10/20 w/comparison to 11/3 in parentheses:

Via NCDHHS, there were 297,442 confirmed cases (⬆️ 17,065) & 261,719 recovered cases (⬆️ 15,401), & 4,660 deaths (⬆️ 203), w/1,251 currently hospitalized (⬆️ 66). This means there are currently 31,063 active
2/ cases in NC (⬆️ 1,461). NCDHHS began adding antigen tests on 9/25.

The recovery rate < case rate this wk (net ⬆️ in reported cases; 4th consecutive wk). Still no cause for alarm given incidence hasn’t statistically significantly ⬆️ since addition of antigen tests, &
3/ hospitals aren’t near capacity.

We are on pace for setting a record # of tests again in Nov (1.235 M). If you missed my most recent post re: correlation b/w tests, cases, & incidence, search for it; there’s definitely a relationship b/w them. In Oct, 1,037,783 tests were
4/ completed (34% ⬆️ over Sept) - we’re not seeing a spike.

Currently 87.99% recovered (⬆️ 0.14%), 1.57% deaths (⬇️ 0.02%) & 10.44% active cases (⬇️ 0.12%). Out of 4,416,365 completed tests by 11/10, there were 297,442 (+) cases, w/6.74% overall incidence (⬇️ 0.02%).
5/ Prevalence is 2.84% (⬆️ 0.17%).
On 11/10 there were 2,582 (+) cases out of 29,272 tests, w/8.82% incidence (reporting outlier). The avg wkly incidence on 11/10 is 6.49% (⬇️ 0.17%). Rolling 14-day incidence avg ~6.52% (⬆️ 0.02%).

On 11/10 avg deaths per day = 29 in last 7
6/ days (⬇️ 6.14). 51.05% of all deaths in NC are in congregate settings (SNF, RCF, CF) - ⬇️ 0.64%.
For 0-17 yrs, 11% of all cases have been ID’d (no change), w/0% deaths to date, 1 death overall (no change since 6/30). For 18-24 yrs, 16% of all cases (no change since 10/6) have
7/ been ID’d, w/0% deaths to date, 4 deaths overall. CFR is 1.57% (⬇️ 0.02%), mortality rate is 0.044% (⬆️ 0.002%). If all NC active cases on 11/10 were located solely in Wake County, incidence would be 2.74% (⬆️ 0.13%).

At quick glance, avg wkly incidence is ~6.50% over last 3
8/ wks (⬆️ 0.02%), overall & avg daily incidence have continued to ⬇️ since 8/11, # of active cases has ⬆️ over last 4 wks to ~31k, wkly death rate continues ebb/flow pattern, & prevalence has ⬆️ slightly (expected). Hospitalizations & death rates have fluctuated; death rates
9/ have not ⬆️ outside of previous levels, & hospitals are nowhere near capacity.

Continued NCDHHS website issues:
Still not showing # recovered/incorporating into stats; NCDHHS did add wkly cases trend by age, sex, race, & ethnicity. NCDHHS needs to go a step further & add
10/ recovery #’s in these categories, plus differentiate b/w symptomatic/asymptomatic cases & deaths w/comorbidities. NCDHHS still doesn’t report specific rolling 14-day incidence avg, which would give a better overall picture/context versus total #’s. Change in hospitalization
11/11 reporting created artificial increase in hospitalizations but as I reported on Sunday (11/15) the ICU beds/hospital beds/vent use did not change.
