Monogatari is a story about coming to terms with yourself: your flaws, your regrets and your past. It's a tale about growing up and the struggles and conflicts that are created when you strive to become a better version of yourself.
Monogatari is a show about loving yourself, but it's also about loving the people that surrounds you, about cherishing the bonds you share with others and about accepting the differences between them and you.
Monogatari is one of the most visually impressive shows I have seen. The wide variety of techniques, shots, colors and references makes this series one-of-a-kind. And only this is reason enough to give it a try.
Monogatari is an anime that I can proudly say that I love. Its themes resonate with me and I am happy that it exists, because is a really positive and beautiful experience. But at the same time I can't say that I have enjoyed it consistenly.
There are seasons (arcs) that it was impossible for me to be focused in because the dialogues felt dragged and the topic they were talking about didn't interest me in the slightest.

Also, there are certain "gags" that kept taking me out once in a while.
Leaving my two main gripes aside I want to emphasize once again that I love the series, but I think it's important to point out what I didn't like too.

In the next tweet I am gonna put my score for each season and my top 5 arcs.
Seasons:
Bake: 7
Nise: 4
NekoKuro: 8
Second Season: 9
Hana: 8.5
Tsuki: 5
Kizu trilogy: 9, 9, 10
Owari: 8
Koyomi: 2
Owari s2: 9
Zoku: 8.5

Top 5 arcs:
1. Sodachi Lost
2. Koyomi Vamp
3. Tsubasa Tiger
4. Ougi Dark
5. Hitagi End
My top 4 characters is pretty similar to my top arcs, so it's easy to guess:
1. Sodachi
2. Ougi
3. Shinobu
4. Hanekawa

I want to think about the rest of the cast a bit more before deciding their positions, but this four won't change.
At this point the only thing I can say is: watch Monogatari. There is a lot of prejudice towards it, but don't let that stop you from starting it. I was afraid because of it and now I couldn't be happier for having done it. It's a beautiful story that deserves to be experienced.
