(THREAD) Everyone needs to use their critical thinking skills. I don't believe in blind faith. I will use the Skelly movement as an example:

1. Anyone or any group can attend a protest. People being at an event doesn't imply association

(a great example of this is twitter)
Twitter is an open forum. I have no idea who most of you are or what your belief systems are. I could easily have RT'd a person in 7 months that is connected to unsavoury things. Who knows?

If someone was trying to discredit me it would be easy

Just show me connected to a creep
2. People are planted at events to discredit movements. It happens to them all. The more important the movement the more infiltrated it gets.

I can show this at every protest.
3. We don't know the people who organize events. I had my wedding at Adamson BBQ - that doesn't mean I know the owner well. It's important to always keep your mind open about what the intentions are behind ANY movement.

ANY movement.
4. Showing that people attended a movement doesn't mean those people represent the movement.

I can organize a protest tomorrow and I have 0 control over who comes to that protest.

If you are going to accuse someone of being a Nazi you better show real proof or its defamation
5. Connections to pedophilia are used to blackmail people all the time. If you're going to say someone supports a pedophile you better darned well have proof

We feel far too comfortable throwing that stuff out there.

Have proof or I will block you
6. Be aware that if you're making a difference it will be open season on you & your family

The government/powers that be stop at nothing to crush people who are making others think

The reality is this sort of attention could make any one of us look bad.

Bear that in mind.
7. There are no scared cows. If someone is a bad actor they are a bad actor.

I don't believe in giving people a free pass.

If and when there is sold proof I end the association.
