If you stay on social media for too long, you will begin to think that everyone is in the middle class. It's ridiculous because, in a country like Nigeria, we all know this is a fat lie.

Another thing I have noticed is, people who are struggling, hardly talk about their reality.
People who are still job-hunting are ashamed to talk.

People who still live with their parents are ashamed to talk.

People who use Tecno and Infinix phones are ashamed to talk.
It baffles me because you would think Nigeria is a poor country and an average Nigerian is expected to be an outcome of its environment, but no, everyone on social media seems to be comfortable.
I know this topic might sound cliche, but more people, especially youths need to freely talk about their realities. Nigeria is not a rich country, let's stop deceiving ourselves and putting unnecessary pressure on ourselves also.
To talk about being broke or jobless should be normalized and not to be ridiculed.

It's not your fault that you couldn't get the capital to start a business.

It's not your fault that you don't have a job yet.

It's not your fault that your salary isn't sufficient.
It's not your fault that you can't rent an apartment of your own or buy an iPhone.

We are all in this shit hole country together. Don't allow anyone to make you feel small because of social media validation.

Talk your truth. Success is a journey, not a destination.
