One delusion Tegnellists like to put forward is that even though Sweden is sparsely populated, because SkĂĄne & Stockholm are densely populated, Sweden is not comparable to its neighbours.
Instead Stockholm should be compared to Brussels & London.

Let’s put this to bed.
Stockholm County (län) has a population density of 330/sqkm.

the Greater London area has a density of 4542/sqkm.
The Brussels region has a density of 7400/sqkm.

Stockholm County has a density more comparable to relatively rural & by UK standards sparsely populated Yorkshire.
Out of 317 administrative areas in the UK, only SkĂĄne & Stockholm counties are more densely populated than any of the 317. Stockholm somewhere around place 215 and skĂĄne around 290.
Swedish ideas of the Stockholm area being some sort of international metropolis are truly delusional.

In an international comparison, it’s a quaint mid-sized city in a mostly rural area.
When people compare Swedish pandemic outcomes, they should only have one conclusion: how truly horrific the results would have been in a densely populated country or region.
