Everybody seems to know that these things are true:
1. The main Westminster parties are absolute shite.
2. Nothing will change until they are gone.
3. Few Conservatives or Labour party members seem to like their parties.
So...

Why don't they form a pact to destroy their own parties, allowing them to form the parties that they *DO* want, free from the self-serving a-holes that currently run them?
The people who don't admit that there's a problem with their party are the people who need to be excluded (democratically) from politics. They are an anti-democratic clique.
In fact, the parties have all but a formal pact to act in their mutual interest, against our interests.

(Don't be fooled by that red line's uptick. What the Labour Party did was to make membership of their party no greater a commitment than buying a coffee once a year.)
I don't know anyone who votes Labour who believes in their party. Everyone I know who votes Conservative thinks their party has kicked them in the teeth. Both seem to hate their party more than the other.

When I hear them speak, I don't recognise anything they try to signal as "virtue", anything they claim as fact, any principle they claim to champion.
