I am a big fan of Roy Hodgson, he’s a proud Palace boy, and clearly cares deeply. He’s put up with many unbanked transfer windows, and always kept Palace comfortably safe from relegation. But eventually, everyone loses their edge in life, and I fear Roy’s best is behind him.
He will probably keep us safe again this season, but with the best squad we’ve had in the Premier League we can expert more .
I also believe that the right man woule get the best from Benteke, Batshuayi, Eze, Meyer etc.

Roy will go down as an absolute Palace legend, overseeing some of our most successful seasons in the Premier League. The wins against Man City, Man United, Chelsea and the 5-0 Leicester City win are some of my favourite moments as a Palace fan.
But since the the Covid-19 lockdown, bar the odd good half, our form in terms of performances has been woeful. Particularly the football has been overly defensive, and negative, especially given the attacking talent at Roy’s disposal.
Roy often appears to realise the need for a change long after is obvious, and this hesitance has cost points. Tonight, the game was crying out for Benteke. Townsend had been whipping in dangerous balls in the air all night. Roy correctly brings on Benteke, but subs out Andros!!
Sadly, I fear Roy’s time is up. I’ve just lost patience, and have stopped enjoying watching Palace, he also rarely appears to have a plan B. I’ve no idea how best to do it elegantly, and in the manner Roy deserves, but we need fresh ideas. #cpfc
