information/theory thread on kirishima’s teeth.
when we see kirishima as a lil baby, his teeth are straight (ew) and normal. although there are the occasional slip ups with forgetting the spikes, considering that this is in one of the backstory chapters with the entire focus on him, i’m inclined to believe that’s not the case
and that the normalness of baby ei’s teeth is intentional.

it would make some sort of sense, since his quirk is not a mutation and hadn’t manifested before he grew his baby teeth.
furthermore, his two back teeth, the permanent molars, are flat and regular even now. we don’t get to see them often unfortunately, but it is a very obvious difference.

when kirishima’s baby teeth fell out, it’s likely that the spiked ones are the adult set that pushed through.
permanent molars however, only grow in around the time the adult set of teeth are doing so as well, yet on kirishima they are still flat.

this could be because they are still technically part of his first set of teeth because they are not replacing anything.
or it could just be because he needs them to chew properly or it would potentially be painful to have such sharp teeth all the way to the back of his mouth.
because of all this i believe that his quirk is the cause for his teeth and that, unless his quirk is entirely genetic, which we unfortunately don’t know at this time but i doubt from context clues, there is little chance of his parents having the same teeth.
in conclusion when kirishima was like eight and his teeth were falling out and growing in, he had some spiky teeth and some normal teeth and he even potentially had fangs at one point and i just think that’s pretty neat
i’m hyper fixating on fictional fucking teeth
