You got folk on here who think if you're Black and didn't grow up ducking gun shots, lived in a house, ate three times a day, had a good relationship with your parents, and they made more than minimum wage you didn't have the real Black experience.
I still can't wrap my head around this.
In case you don't know, being poor sucks
Wondering if you're going to eat or have somewhere to sleep is awful
Praying the light company didn't turn off your lights is stressful
Deciding between paying rent or eating is horrible. There is nothing good about growing up like this.
Despite what folks believe because it makes them feel better about themselves, there is no piety in poverty
