Ladies and Gentlemen, boys and girls, golfers of all skills and fandoms, it is our pleasure to announce the 2nd semi-annual #UtahTwitterOpen event. This event is tentatively scheduled for Friday April 24, 2021. The location for the event is the Eaglewood Golf Course
Located in North Salt Lake. The #SpringCup will be a drastically different format. In lieu of teams of 4 the entire field will be split into 2 teams and played in a match-play format. Each team will be captained by 4 individuals from each of the winning teams from the fall event.
Each foursome will include 2 players from each team that will play a two man scramble against the other two players in the foursome. The winner of each hole will receive a point. The pair that wins more points over the 18 holes will earn 1 point for their team. The team with the
Most points wins. In essence this is a Ryder Cup style format. The pairings will be determined based on skill level and the captains of each team will oversee the process to ensure there is maximum competition and no shenanigans.
In addition to golf, we will have a light breakfast, a quick range session, each team will have a team color and polos will be provided to each player from the one and only @dahlelama (see mock up photos below), Black Clover has kindly agreed to donate a hat for each player
Lunch will be catered during which time we will have a prize and swag giveaway and maybe a comedy roast or other discourse by @TheyCallMeRyols it is our goal to foster a sense of community with those of us who spend to much time on this god-forsaken app and reduce assholery.
Anyone who would like to participate is welcome (Utah is the state we live in, not just a reference to the best CFB team in the state) We will have a website for registration in the coming weeks. Unfortunately we will be limited in space, priority will first be given to the 36
Who participated in the fall event and then another 40-50 spots will be made available. Custom Bag tags and a commemorative golf towel will also be given to each participant. Because the costs have increased by including lunch, prizes, shirts, and other swag the cost
Will be $85pp. Please know we have capped the cost so as to hopefully not price anyone out. Several individuals & companies have generously donated money and prizes. If you have any questions please direct them @cronair or @amccullough105 any complaints to @TanMart03
