OTHER living organisms die. Die and rot. Carcasses eaten by maggots.

I can understand humans not wanting that to happen to them or their loved ones. Believing in a god (there are, after all, a lot to choose from) that would provide everlasting life away from the earthly

body could indeed be tempting, I suppose.

Yet the fact is, everything dies: trees, plants, mice, dogs, lions, fish...... and yes, humans. Why do we think we are somehow any different?

If we believe everything gets everlasting life, the heavens must be getting awfully

crowded, although I suppose they stretch to infinity.

Think of every living creature (include bacteria) and plant since time immemorial continuing a form of existance some place in the "heavens". Oh, I forgot: only the good ones! Who decides a fish deserves eternal

damnation? Or a rose? Or a blade of grass? Either way, are the damned taking up ethereal space somewhere too?

It all defies logic. Our human predilection to somehow live forever defies logic.
