Congrats to @FossilFreeLake and @mylakehead for committing to divest from fossil fuel holdings by 2023! This is a great example of people in power listening to youth in the climate movement and establishing a realistic and effective timeline to take climate action (1/4)

We must recognize also that Indigenous culture and identity are intertwined with the land, which means we cannot achieve reconciliation without the preservation of the environment (2/4)

Given the high population of FNMI people and the racism they have experienced on these lands for generations, this divestment is a great step for the community of Thunder Bay (3/4)
