Thank you everyone who endured the lockdown, who socially-distanced, who wears a mask & hand-washes. Lockdown was necessary because viral spread was getting out of control.

We are still in the midst of this pandemic & it will be a few months before enough of us are immunised to impact on viral spread.

People at risk because of chronic illnesses or age or their job will be vaccinated first, then as production ramps up, the vaccine(s) will be offered widely.

Some people won’t be able to respond to the vaccine because of specific illnesses, but if enough of us is vaccinated, we’ll protect them too.
Research is also ongoing into giving antibodies to immunocompromised ppl to help protect them directly.

So, as I’ve said before, thank you! We’re in this together & the light at the end of the tunnel is steadily getting brighter. There is a way to go though, so hang in there. Don’t let our guard down just yet.
