Kaido's Race/Devil Fruit Ability: A Thread.

In this thread, I'll be talking about Kaido's durability and tying it to his race and/or df ability. I'd like to point out that this is just a theory that I'll try to back with info from the manga for fun.

In this thread, I'll be talking about Kaido's durability and tying it to his race and/or df ability. I'd like to point out that this is just a theory that I'll try to back with info from the manga for fun.

So, first things first. I don't believe Kaido has eaten a Mythical Zoan Dragon Devil Fruit. This is crucial for this theory to stand and call it an assumption, if you will. There are, however, reasons reasons why I believe he hasn't eaten one.
(2/21)
(2/21)
1. Oda has displayed Kaido's DF multiple times now. Not once has he said that Kaido has eaten a Mythical Zoan Dragon DF. I can understand keeping this hidden for a later on reveal, but it doesn't serve any shock when your dragon form is used in battle multiple times.

(3/21)
2. One of the reasons why it's unlikely that Kaido is a Dragon DF user is because he literally powers up when he is in "human" form. I could write it off if it happened once but it happened thrice. Why? As Lucci mentioned in Enies Lobby a DF makes a user stronger.
(4/21)
(4/21)
If Kaido was a Dragon DF user, his Dragon form or his hybrid should've been stronger than the human form. Instead, he always reverts to his "human" form and we saw this first against Luffy, then against Oden and then against the Scabbards.

3. Kaido's indestructibility: If Kaido was a Mythical Zoan dragon, he would have been "killable". He's lost 7 times. He's been captured 18 times, sentenced to death 40 times. His indestructibility comes from his "scales" and Luffy confirmed it In Udon.
(6/21)
(6/21)
But, if those scales were a Devil Fruit power, Sea Prism Stone would have worked and he would've been executed. Instead, we find out that the guillotine shatters, spears break. Another popular argument is that this indestructibility comes from an advanced level of Haki.
(7/21)
(7/21)
But once again, Sea Prism Stone nullifies Haki. This was also confirmed in Udon via Luffy. Kaido couldn't be executed because whatever it is that gives him the durability isn't affected by Sea Prism Stone, which leads me to one conclusion: Kaido is a dragon himself.

Dragons in the OP world exist. We've seen them in Oda's Monster one-shot in which Ryuma slays one. In Punk Hazard, the WG is revealed to have worked on dragon experiments; 13 in total. This takes me back to what Big Mom mentioned about the races missing from Totland.
(9/21)
(9/21)
The first one is Giants (including Ancient Giants). The second one would be King's race. And the third one is dragons. Joining forces with Kaido will pave way for Big Mom to have 2/3 of the races she wants.
(10/21)
(10/21)
Adding to that, I believe the WG experimented on Kaido in an attempt to create dragons, which we saw on Punk Hazard and that's also when Momo's DF was created using lineage factor by Vegapunk. Big Mom could have freed him, which could be the "big favor" he owes to her.
(11/21)
(11/21)
Coming over to Kaido's race. First we look at his title. He's is called the "Strongest Creature in the World." I know creatures include all living things but this title is given to him because it makes him distinct from humans. This is confirmed by Nami at Punk Hazard.
(12/21)
(12/21)
Following this, Big Mom refers to Kaido as a "thing" and then in Wano, Law points to the dragon and tells Luffy "That's Kaido" and I believe that's intentional on Oda's part. Once again, it was never revealed that he has a Mythical Zoan Dragon Devil Fruit.
(13/21)
(13/21)
So how come Kaido has multiple forms if he isn't a Dragon DF user? We have two strong possibilities:
1. Kaido is an Oni Devil Fruit user: Kaido could be a Oni DF user which would explain why he has a human form. It would also make sense that his human form is stronger.

(14/21)
During his execution, Sea Prism stone would nullify his powers but he would revert to a dragon and not die. Furthermore, Marco refers to him as an Ogre, meaning this could well be possible. It would also add up as Kaido's base is "Onigashima" and -
(15/21)
(15/21)
The Wano arc is heavily inspired by Momotaro's story who befriends a dog, a monkey, a pheasant, and beat the band of Oni. And lastly, One Piece Magazine referred to Kaido as a Mythical Zoan DF user, which would mean he has a Mythical Human Zoan, Model: Oni.
(16/21)
(16/21)
2. Kaido doesn't have a Devil Fruit. Kaido has two forms, a human and a dragon one. Interestingly, Eastern Dragons have the ability to shapeshift, which would mean Kaido could change forms even if he doesn't have a DF just because of his race, making him a Dragon.
(17/21)
(17/21)
An obstacle in both these was Yamato. If Kaido was a dragon, Yamato shouldn't have been human-like. This is a reason why I put off doing this thread until now but OP 996 showed us a glimpse of Yamato's form that is either a DF ability or a power related to Kaido's race.
(18/21)
(18/21)
If Kaido is a dragon, then Yamato would at least be half-dragon.
It is also interesting that Yamato doesn't bleed against Sasaki even after taking a lot of damage, possibly because of Dragon Scales.

I'm leaning more towards the first one, but it's possible that I'm wrong about both. I just liked the idea and that's why I wanted to do this thread. It's possible that Kaido might somehow be an Oni with the ability to transform into a dragon. It's all for fun anyway.

I'm not the first one to think of this theory. I just summarised what I have noticed and tried to explain stuff as well as I could. Either way, you can let me know what you guys think. If you like the idea, I'd appreciate it if you RT the main tweet. Thanks
