Feelings after reading that article.
A thread.

There are plenty of us from diverse backgrounds that want to put in the time and effort to make those changes sooner than later but I genuinely think people often have too much a focus on old and easier familiarity.

It's why the Class Module (CMM) was pay what you want (PWYW). Paying people for their work is important, and even using PWYW to be honest made way more than I ever expected but there was desire for it and in an accessible way. I tried to hit that(cont)
Full disclosure, there's over 8,000 downloads with a pay what you want basis. The revenue is literally within a 100 margin of downloads. I hired editors to look through, I contracted an artist, and consistently made improvements over a few months. This was only in June.

The reason I did http://itch.io  was because I wanted to be able to license/post my CMM other places, and in a wider net.

We're in a unique point where so much homebrew exists so a majority desire (imo) is core changes to stuff that HAS been a problem for so long
(Cont)
And I want to point out I can make all of these points, still enjoy many core features of a system, and still have my own personal preference about what has or hasn't been welcoming when I had gotten into it and I came in "late". First ttrpg play in 2014. Reasons for that. (Cont)
If we didn't want to see these games develop and grow sooner we wouldn't make these things ourselves

Anyways you can find it here

It's not a hate of the game. It's wanting it to be better.
When people stop wanting something to be better that can be when a whole seperate issue has bloomed.

I'm leaving replies open but please please please do not make me regret that.
