What offense/offenses was Flynn pardoned for? We. Don't. Know. Did Trump intend to pardon him for every fed crime he may have committed within any applicable S.O.L.? If so, that's a big problem for Flynn. Or just the charge to which he pled guilty? That could be a problem too.
"S.O.L." = statute of limitations. The S.O.L. for most crimes affecting a financial institution is, e.g., 10 years. I'd be surprised if Flynn did not have exposure to both fed $ and tax crimes. Whether a new DOJ would want to do anything wrt Flynn depends on facts we don't know.
The end result's irrelevant. The validity of a tweet claiming "full pardon" of a person -- not offenses, or offenses arising from described conduct, or those committed w/in a set time -- is an extremely imp't issue. If we let it go w/out a bit of critical thought, we are idiots.
