ANTI - SEMITISM IN THE HARRY POTTER SERIES

stereotype. the stereotype, started a long time ago and grew in the 1940s (no suprise there). it is to do with the stereotype that 'all jews have hooked/large noses'. another theme with the goblins, is money. obviously the goblins control gringotts the wizarding bank. they are
also extremely selfish and greedy. once again, a very common stereotype. you may of heard 'jews control everything' and 'jews are all rich'. these are both really offensive. the last seemingly strange similarity is their language. goblins speak gobbledegook which j*r describes
as 'rough and unmelodious tongue'. things such as this have been, and still are said about the hebrew the main jewish language. this, is also said about yiddish and ethnically jewish lanugage. now all these stereotypes together make it pretty obvious someone either did zero
research and used blatantly anti-semitic imagery or is anti-semitic. but we're not done there sadly. there is a Star of David on the floor of gringotts. for those unaware, the SoD is the jewish religous symbol. it looks like this

thing related to harry potter and j*r. j*r compared the death eaters to the N*ZIS and their blood scheme. although similiar, you should never compare anything to the genocide of my people. please don't. let alone fictional characters. as well as this, many believe the hp series
and fantastic beasts are based around the h0locaust. this may seem suprising however, grindelwald is similiar to h*tler, as well his prison is named 'nurmengard' which is scarily similiar to the actual city or 'nuremberg'. in this city large N*ZI rallies were held. another
similarity is him hanging 'for the greater good' over his prison. this is so similiar to the N*ZIs hanging 'work makes one free' over their camps. as well we all know, grindelwald took the neutral symbol of deathly hallows and turned it bad, which is exactly what h*tler did with
sw@stika, which was actually a hindu peace symbol. in 2005, j*r said it wasn't accidental that there was such similarities. she said it 'amuses her' to make allusions to 'muggle events' and that the real wars and wizarding wars feed into each other. this is not okay for any war
(unless it is either non-fiction or story from an actual person alive) especially WW2 and the h0locaust. if we were silent for 1min for every person who died in rhe camps we would be silent for 11 YEARS STRAIGHT. so please, include us in your activism & care for us. shalom <3
