Our greatest challenge will be getting reality back. For 4 years, we were required to look the other way at signs of derangement, only because they came from the president. We had to accept blatant criminality and treason, just because they came from a position of power.
We were told that an assault on our reality (including the indoctrination of Donald Trump’s followers), human rights abuses, and ultimately the mass killing of Americans were all just “a difference of politics.” This has already caused our culture trauma....
... from which recovery will be difficult. For this reason, I consider the restoration of our own mental health to be of top priority. If we took care of this, all the rest would pretty much fall into place.
