Nominating Scrap Murphy for best emergent meta-narrative in blaseball.
In short: incinerated and forgotten (deeper than you might imagine) and then a timely replacement on the Hall Stars saves blaseball

Longer form: for some reason, the Games endpoint of the API doesn't have Scrap Murphy. All his games pitched list "Undecided" as the pitcher. I ran into this issue while doing some work on Shame Games (s2 d30 was a Murphy game with Shame)
The blaseball wiki (until I fixed it in early October) listed Murphy's incineration date as s2 d46. This is impossible. His slot would pitch on days 30/35/40.
Also he was incinerated on the 40th but I guess no one noticed for awhile and put in the 46th

Also in s2 people wanted to see more incinerations. Umps Chaff and Sunman would talk to people about it pretty often. This is a side note but just funny
So despite being forgotten by his team and the wiki and the api. Scrap Murphy was still in the Hall of Flame. I actually know Murphy because he has a very short career on blaseball-reference and I've used him to track some events based on that (eg. when logging started etc)
But when Sebastian Telephone was incinerated (for the second time RIV) Scrap Murphy was called up from the Hall, and his Spirit helped the team stay afloat and defeat the Pods and save blaseball.
Ironically Scrap Murphy is probably the most memorable s2 incineration to me because of all these little ways he kept popping up in my time working on various aspects of blaseball research- I don't think I could name any other player incinerated in s2 (2 and 3 blend together)
