South Dakota hits COVID milestone:

1 out of every 1,000 residents dead
Illinois hits new COVID milestone:

Chart on the left is weekly deaths per capita. Chart on the right is total deaths.👇
North Dakota’s COVID deaths continue to rise:
~1 out of every 850 of its residents are dead.
Just ~17 days ago, South Dakota was at 61 deaths per 100,000. Today, it's at 100 deaths per 100,000. Where will it be on, say, Dec. 31? https://twitter.com/RepAndyBiggsAZ/status/1326388918690992128?s=20
The COVID death rate in South Dakota is 7X the death rate in Maine.
South Dakota has had, like, 3 Maines worth of death reported just in the past few weeks.
New York, New Jersey had bigger death spikes in the spring, back when there was almost no testing, no good treatments, etc., and the Dakotas are blessed with natural physical distancing given extremely low population density.
Illinois having a particularly bad 2nd death spike right now; reminds me of a Lousiana's 2nd spike earlier.
There are actually some counties in USA where >1 per 200 are dead.
