For a @UKLabour majority win in 2024, on its own, we need a net seat gain of - 140 seats.
For @UKLabour to stop a Tory majority (as part of an electoral alliance based on PR & constitutional reform) - needs a combined net gain of - 40 seats.

Just to reiterate, whilst the there pragmatic party political reasons to adopt PR & rad const reform - it’s also the right thing to do democratically.
Let’s be really clear. With Scotland where it is electorally - a 140 seat Labour gain in 2024 would require a swing larger than that achieved in 1945. An election that took place off of the back of five years of @UKLabour already effectively, running the country.
The #CrisisOfDemocracy: the ClimateEmergency; surveillance capitalism, the rise of the nativist authoritarian right; the guilted age of wealth and power inequality - is a ticking clock. We don’t have the luxury of waiting 15 years for transformative politics.
