The main event for $etc is the "Thanos" Hare Fork which has been Implemented on the testnet and waiting to go mainnet somewhere on 28th Nov 2020. Or at 11,700,000 Block. The HF will calibrate the Epoch length used in DAG Infrastructure. (1/n)

This will give a 51% Protection, double the ethhash blocks from 30000 to 60000 Blocks. The modified ETHhash will be known as ETChash in this upgrade 3GB and 4GB CPU can resume mining. (2/n)

The DAG Infrastructure:- DAG is to provide ASIC Resistance and to prevent Centralization of mining Distribution along with ASIC tak over mining Domination. With this Architecture mining ecosystem will bring DAG growth back in sync with commonly used GPUs (3/n)

So, stay tuned for 28th Nov for the mainnet the etc Network is still vernurable to 51% attack but after the thanos hard fork along with DAG the protection will increase so as scalibility and yes The mining ecosystem will also support the 3GB GPUs least indeed a good upgrade
