Min Yoongi (민윤기) also known as 'SUGA' now was born on March 9, 1993, in Daegu, SK, the younger of two sons. He attended Taejeon Elementary School, Gwaneum Middle School, and Apgujeong High School. He became interested in rap after hearing "Reggae Muffin" by Stony Stunk. ++

However, he still worked as a part time delivery boy because he needed to earn. He got into an accident while delivering on a motorcycle and of course, this accident prevented him from practicing, but he lied to everyone because he thought he would get fired from this.++

On June 13, 2013, he successfully debuted as a rapper of BTS in No More Dream. He till date jokes that Bang Pd tricked him into joining the group because he only wanted to be a producer.
Suga suffered from financial problems as well as lack of support from his family as a trainee. Due to this,he had mental health issues like depression and social anxiety.

In 2016, he released his first mixtape with the name AugstD that took everyone to Hongkong (synonymous to rocking everyone's world according to urban dictionary) bcoz of his tongue technology. Later on with D-2 he became the first Asian to top #1 on100 iTunes chart.

He is a philanthropic celebrity who often donates to society. He has donated over 100 million won to the Korea Pediatric Cancer Foundation to help children with cancer and donated the same amount to help out with COVID-19 in Daegu, which is his home town.++
++Not only that, in 2014, he promised his fans that he would treat them if he became successful, and in the next 4 years, he fulfilled that promise by gifting the best hanwoo (Korean beef) meat to his fans.
