My take on free speech on twitter:
We all know speech isn't free on twitter.
Say we have three groups:
Group A: who dox and deplatform others based on perceived politics
Group B: free speech absolutists <- you are here
Group C: who cheer for Group A when they "hurt" Group B

Now, I am completely okay with Group A being doxed and deplatformed
and Group C being deplatformed
Why?
Because if these are the rules we have to live by, I want them to live by them as well.
Free speech absolutism leads to haves and have-nots on twitter

Free speech absolutism is a naive position to have when you don't have a say in how twitter is run.
What you are advocating for, while morally righteous, leads to a heavy imbalance on the platform
There is a difference in the world as you want it to be and the way the world is.

I think pragmatism is far, far better than blind principlism.
I am 100% pro free speech
but where our speech isn't free, theirs shouldn't be either.
Either all of it goes or none of it goes.
