This majestic goldeneye and her brood were a rare sight on a Hampshire river. People often reminisce about Goldeneye (the film) and Goldeneye (the videogame), and we hope that some day Goldeneye (the duck) will receive the proportionate critical acclaim they deserve

These ducks have turned off their phones and are enjoying living in the moment in a pond in Burghfield. It means they will not see these tweets but we hope that if they did they would appreciate them all the same
We can also see the light having a moment of reflection which in this busy life can never be a bad thing
Our archive notes say this action shot depicts ducks mid-race downstream, on the Thames. Unfortunately we don't know the results, and the photographer was unable to interview either the winner or runners-up for comment. However, we suspect the winner was, most likely, a duck
and not one of these two who headed to the afterparty before the race was even over
Lastly: these ducks, photographed by a pond in the West Oxfordshire village of Ducklington, have come to claim what was rightfully theirs
