Now, there are things we could measure somewhat more straightforwardly like, say, a Land Value Tax. But we’d have to ask ourselves what we’re trying to accomplish with that.
But a general “wealth” tax, which would be nebulously defined, and only apply to individuals who could hire an army of lawyers and accountants to fight CRAs calculation of their individual wealth? Good luck with that. (Unless it’s meant as a stimulus program for tax lawyers.)
