More than 20,000 people have gone back to their neighbourhoods near the former frontlines in southern #Tripoli.
"I returned to find my house destroyed and burnt. There is nothing left," said Ebrahim al-Salem. "I just want somewhere for my children to sleep."

Returnees are organizing and trying to tackle the issues head-on. "One person has a generator, another has experience in electricity. We try to join efforts and find ways to support each other", Abdulbasit Ashouri told us.

But the situation is grim - 70% of the area has no electricity, the closest health facility only offers basic first aid, some areas are littered with mines. "Total destruction", in the words of one man.
