The Counts "Rule of 1&10" AKA How To Know When To Start

Learning a skill (Copywriting... Cold Email... Wed design... Ecom Etc.) but don't know when to start and launch your bidness?...

Or don't feel 'ready'?

Read this.
One of my mentors taught me a valuable little rule that I've carried with me.

I was a 'learner, not a doer' (As he described it)

Aka I love to get every fucking resource on something and just spend my time learning.

Feeling like I'm actually achieving shit.

Hint: I wasn't.
You honestly don't learn until you launch.

So if you're like I was, here's what you're going to do.

The Rule of 1&10.
It goes by your learning time in hours - 1 hours of learning and 10.

And is a good lil' indicator as to when you're ready.

Stops all the fuss about 'but I don't know x so I need to read up about that'

You don't need that book about scaling to 7 figures at the start.
1 hour of learning - Start practising.

After 1 hour of learning the skill:

You'll have a grasp of whatever you're trying to learn.
You'll be learning the big concepts and main parts of whatever it is.

This is where you start practising.
Learning copy? start writing.
Web design? Start pissing about with carrd/wordpress
Cold email? Start fiddling with IcyLeads and practising scraping
Ecom? get a Shopify account + start playing around.

GET HANDS ON.
You get the picture.

Whatever you do will be shit... but that's the point.

You have to start BAD in order to be GOOD.

Keep going.
Another important point - only pick a maximum of 3 resources to learn from.

Just 3. And that's MAXIMUM.

Keep those resources to hand whilst you're practising.

And keep practising until...
10 hours of learning + practising - Launch

THIS IS WHERE YOU LAUNCH.

10 hours. That's all.

You'll know more than 80% of people out there about your skill.

Including MANY business owners.

I promise you.
So here is where you take your show on the road.

You can hit this 10-hour mark in a week, easy.

"But I don't know everything"

You don't have to - you just need to know ENOUGH my friend.
Hour 1 and hour 10.

AKA 1&10.

Just remember this when you're either starting a skill or don't know if you're ready.

If you're at hour 10 - you are.

Now go forth, and make money tweeter proud my son.
