Small devotion thread.

Romans is one of the most significant books in the Bible.

It outlines doctrine fairly well and creates a basis to consider the church.

To flow with me try and read Romans.

Yes, all of it.
Nowadays church is considered a place of Blessing rather than a place for grounding and equipping.

It is important that this grounding and understanding of doctrine takes place so you don’t get swept away by every wind of doctrine.

Someone says it’s wrong to eat Amala

You:
See, it is important to stress that God doesn’t save us to be laid back and lukewarm Sunday Sunday Christians.

He called us to a higher level of intimacy, relationship and commitment.

I digress but that’s what Romans was helping to outline.
Romans teaches us Theology- Romans teaches us that ‘the Just shall live by faith’.

Romans explain the plan of salvation.

Romans tells us that external things like circumcision are not necessarily the way to get closer to God
It teaches us the Law

It teaches us to respect Govt.

Please read Romans.
One of the things we see Romans point out is that, God is greater than we can imagine.

You see statements like -
Much more,
not only that

Romans let’s us understand the magnitude of God.
Romans tells us we have been Justified by Faith.

Romans tells us we have Peace with God.
Romans tells us we have access by faith.

Romans tells us we have Grace.

Grace helps shape our desires

Grace outstrips sin in the equation.

Think about it like math 🧮

If Sin is x then Grace is X *infinity
God has given us access

It’s available to all believers, Grace helps us to be forgiving in the face of annoyance.

It helps us to say no.
Romans tells us we have Hope in Gods Glory.

We have confidence that God will show up.

We have confidence that Gods intervention will come and be apparent.
Romans encourages us to be excited.

Saints aren’t confused about the year end.

Saints are excited while we wait.

We are hoping in Gods glory.

We are rejoicing in Gods glory.

We are expectant.
Most of my thoughts today have been from the first few verses of Romans 5.

Let me post them here.

But please read the whole book.

Scripture didn’t originally come in Chapters and verses, so it’s better to read the whole letter.
Thanks for reading.

Have a great day.

Grace to you.
