the fact that the government was like no more than 6 people at thanksgiving you’ll get sick and die from covid! but go work 8hr-16hr shifts tomorrow in retail for minimum wage where you are gonna come in contact with hundreds of strangers when thousands of people are dying!...
yes capitalism and government! exploit workers and force them to risk their lives because they can’t afford to live if they don’t work because you are providing absolutely no financial assistance for unemployment! even still can’t afford to live because minimum wage is low +
considering the cost of living has skyrocketed over the last decade! and allow health insurance companies force people thousands and even millions in debt just to stay alive because you don’t know how to handle a pandemic!
but yeah! it’s having more than 6 people at the thanksgiving dinner table that’s gonna kill them! totally not the fact that corporations are taking advantage of people who need to work in order to survive and force them to come in contact with hundreds of strangers!!!!
in theory trying to limit how many people go to thanksgiving dinners cpuld be beneficial however it is too counterproductive to continuously exploit people who need to survive for only minimum wage
not to mention people shouldn’t have to work multiple minimum wage jobs just to survive! because people shouldn’t have to worry about getting enough money to just LIVE!!! and the fact that 40hr+ work weeks exist just for people to survive proves capitalism is failing the people!
ok i’m almost done with my rant but exploiting millions of people for minimum wage tomorrow with black friday discounts to draw in more revenue in a pandemic is going to kill more people than having a 7th person at thanksgiving dinner! end of rant. i think
