Things I’m noticing:
1. So much stock footage...the push off footage of people waving and littering the ocean with confetti - the same folks every time

2. The guest stars are all popular actors from the time period. Actors from other popular TV shows and back in the day movies.

3 I was convinced that the actor who played the Doctor - Adam Bricker, Bernie Kopell, sang the theme song to #TheLoveBoat

4. #TheLoveBoat was like a weekly Hallmark movie...full of sap, meet-cutes, resolved conflicts in 50min. Lots of Kissing & Everyone falls in love super fast & you just know they all live happily every after.
5. I’m surprised by how well #TheLoveBoat aged - for the most part. I’m still watching Season 1. There are some storylines & bits of dialogue here & there that are ooh no! But for the most part it’s a pretty wholesome show despite adult focused themes
6. I’m searching Season 1. Episodes 8 & 12 of #TheLoveBoat - these episodes involved unsupervised minors- what was happening In the 70s that made the writers think these plots were ok? A runaway boy getting into bed with strangers? A random girl staying with a stranger old man?
7. Nobody ever uses keys to get into their cabins or offices on #TheLoveBoat

8. This show had so many folks on, Kathy Bates was in S1:E13. They recycled folks, too. Now watching season 1 episode 15 of #TheLoveBoat and Michele Lee is a guest star...again! She also started in episode 5 of this same season.
