Oooooooooh dear. 2020 had one last gut punch saved up.
We’ve said this before but we’ll say it again, we totally understand and support the need to reduce social contact and we’ll take the hit to make that happen if it saves lives and kids can carry on being educated BUT...
...we need help, proper financial support otherwise we’re not all going to make it.
We also need the people who are still out and about to follow the rules and the businesses still open to keep people safe and reduce transmission as much as possible.
I can’t tell you how gutting it is for us to be losing so much being closed and then to nip to the supermarket who are making a KILLING and only half the staff are wearing masks and no one is asking folk to wear masks and hand wash is not being provided, such simple things.
It’s heart breaking our sacrifice is being capitalised on.

What can you do to help?
2 things.
Firstly SUPPORT YOUR INDIES!
Every penny you spend with a MCR biz will make the difference, Tesco doesn’t need your cash, a small brewer NEEDS that £10 you might spend on a delivery.
If you can afford it (and we know lots of people can’t) please do what you can.

Secondly look after each other.
People have lost lives, livelihoods have already been destroyed and mental health has been shattered on a gigantic scale.
There isn’t anyone who hasn’t been affected by the environment we’ve all lived in for nine months and this setback will be another hammer blow.
Call all of your friends.
Message all of your buddies.
Check in on your family.
Even if you think they are fine and dandy, loads of people are REALLY good at pretending everything is fine.
Everything is not fine.
It’s okay if you’re not fine either.
Reach out to folk especially if YOU need help.
Some gooduns are @AnxietyUK, @MindCharity, @PAPYRUS_tweets, @samaritans and @CharitySANE.
Take care Manchester x
