Captions matter. A lot of people need captions. These can include, but are not limited to people who are/have:

- Deaf
- Hard of Hearing
- auditory processing disabilities
- sensory processing disabilities
- ADHD
- Autism
- Learning disabilities
- Intellectual disabilities
If your content does not include captions, you are isolating a lot of disabled people and preventing their access to your content.
I need captions to fully understand a thing I am watching. This is because I have some sensory processing issues with my autism. When there are multiple people talking (like multiple characters in a show) I have trouble following it. Being able to read it while hearing helps.

Yep, plenty of people benefit from captions, even if not for a disability related reason https://twitter.com/crazybutable/status/1332068972766892034?s=19
