The F- for Biden’s climate plan was risible. The hair trigger denunciation of Beto’s climate plan was absurd. Backing Weiner’s primary challenger was antithetical to climate goals. And the idea that Brian Deese is a major impediment to good climate policy is false.
And to be clear, I’m not saying that “activism is stupid.”
I’m saying that this specific activist group keeps doing stupid things, and you don’t get to say “well we’re doing activism” as an all-purpose excuse for saying and doing things that don’t make sense. https://twitter.com/pareene/status/1331763390059077632

Now what’s definitely true is that IF America had huge 2009-esque Democratic congressional majorities THEN factional infighting in the Democratic Party would be a crucial margin of political change.
But that’s not the situation that exists.
But that’s not the situation that exists.
You have some groups that were built to try to wage the 2009-2010 fights more effectively on the presumption that the circumstances would recur in 2021.
But instead of changing course in response to events they’re shambling forward.
