1) Why is there so much confusion & division in Spanish politics over this issue?!
Yesterday was the "International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women".
As worded, everyone should be united in that cause.

The latter refers to the gender of the VICTIM not the assailant! Why?


In the case of the last two, that violence may very well come from another woman (mother, sister, etc.)


Problems & division start when politicians start making up their own terms.


This was followed by a law (LIVG) that neither would or should pass a constitutional challenge in a democracy.



Needless to say, this law has become divisive & frankly counter-productive.


Are men inherently violent because of their gender & should constantly be insulted & criminalized?


"Obstinate or unreasonable attachment to a belief, opinion, or faction; in particular, prejudice against a person or people on the basis of their membership of a particular group."

This isn't progress, it's regression to the worst of the past.
