The Flynn prosecution was an abuse of FBI power, politically motivated, and a violation of the long-time liberal-left view, best expressed by RBG, that lying to FBI without more isn't even a crime. But liberals cheered it because they're authoritarians: https://theintercept.com/2020/05/14/new-documents-from-the-sham-prosecution-of-gen-michael-flynn-also-reveal-broad-corruption-in-the-russiagate-investigations/
If you find yourself cheering FBIa nd wanting people in prison because you hate them politically & ideologically -- in the process violating every long-standing left-liberal view about plea bargains & lying to FBI -- don't accuse others of being fascists.
There are many others unjustly in prison -- the US is the planet's largest Prison State -- including several put there (or being pursued) because they exposed abuses by the US Security State. That's why the Constitution gives the President pardon power. https://www.nytimes.com/2020/11/25/us/politics/michael-flynn-pardon.html
It's hard to imagine anything that would shape Trump's legacy better, and that would provoke cheers from everyone in the US and around the world (except John Brennan, James Clapper, Susan Rice & Michael Hayden) than a pardon of Edward Snowden & Julian Assange.
