I then combined it with a literature review to understand how the pandemic, economic shock, and civil unrest worsened an already harrowing problem.

These conditions have created a perfect storm for a massive increase in domestic violence in the US.





These conditions have created a perfect storm for a massive increase in domestic violence in the US.
And socioeconomic factors and centuries of systemic racism and oppression in the US put Black, Hispanic, and Indigenous women at greater risk for domestic violence, while simultaneously reducing their access to care and support services.
