Every year I’ve had twitter, I’ve done a day of remembrance 26 days before the worst day. Maybe it’s because we’re in a new home but I didn’t realize we were so close.

I’ll do a name a day, with a few extra today. Thank you for learning about my daughter’s friends + educators.
Charlotte Bacon, 6.

In her honor, her family wrote two books. Here is the link. You can remember Charlotte by learning about her.

Ana Grace thought it was SO funny her friend’s last name was “Bacon”. https://www.gooddogsgreatlisteners.com/
Jessica Adrienne Rekos, 6.

Jessica is an extraordinary little girl beloved by a large, beautiful family.

In her honor, her family set up this: http://www.jessicarekos.org/

It is how they wish her remembered. And how families want their loved ones remembered absolutely matters.
Olivia Engel, 6.

When I don’t know how a family wants their loved one honored (especially a small child) I just say their name and lift up their family. Like a prayer.

His dad has dedicated his life to fighting back online bullies.

Today, remember Noah.
In my own fog, I almost forgot to continue this. I must not ever forget.

Grace Audrey McDonnell, 7.

Grace loved Martha’s Vineyard and painting. She wanted to be an artist when she grew up.
Today’s remembrance is Dawn Lafferty Hochsprung, 47- the principal of Sandy Hook School.

She is one of those people that was BORN to lead a school + love children. I am so very sad for us all that she isn’t here. In her honor there is an endowment: https://www.facebook.com/donate/358993341826151/?fundraiser_source=external_url

James’ favorite food was hamburgers with ketchup. He has a loving family. Every year, a 5k is held in his name for scholarships for local students.
Ok. Big breath. Here we go. Today’s remembrance is Jesse Lewis, 6.

This is the part where I say to myself, “How can there be so many names?”

Today’s remembrance is dedicated to Emilie Parker, 6. I didn’t know the Parker family well I just remember them being very kind after everything happened.

In Emilie’s honor, her mom runs @SafeSchoolsOrg
Today we can also remember Josephine Gay, 7. Josephine was Ana’s classmate.

In her honor her mom also developed @SafeSchoolsOrg alongside Emilie’s mom.

Josephine should be 15 years old this Dec. 11.

Lauren Rousseau, 30.

Today I remember this teacher. The substitute educator in Ana’s classroom.
