What I'd like to post on FB but am too chickenshit to say: a thread.
In this season of thanks, I'm grateful for 2018, which went down like so:

June: I came out as bi.
August: I made the agonizing (but incredibly healthy) decision to leave the religion to which I devoted 42 years of my life.
October: I filed for divorce.
I'm grateful I threw back 6 shots of tequila and made a pass at @jtulley (who was a perfect gentleman).
I'm grateful I left a work environment that, though filled with wonderful people, was starting to cause me great anxiety.
I'm grateful for the job I found that provides me with the salary and benefits I need to be self-sufficient.
I'm grateful that next month I'll be moving in with a man who loves me for who I am RIGHT NOW rather than who I have the potential to become.
I'm grateful to finally realize that I don't have to be perfect to be loved.
I'm grateful to be in a relationship where I feel safe communicating my needs.
I'm grateful for boundaries.
I'm grateful for my family of choice. (If you're reading this, there's a good chance you're part of that family.)
More than anything, I'm thankful that after 44 years on this earth, I'm finally figuring out who I am and what I need to be happy. It's a big fucking deal.
That's it. That's the thread.
