There's a note in the Michigan Board of State Canvassers meeting notice that says the staff "recommends that the Board of State Canvassers certify the results of the Nov. 3 general election" saying that all 83 counties have certified their official results.

Is it almost over?
The note also clearly spells out what experts have been trying to tell Wayne County canvasser Monica Palmer all week: A precinct *can also* be recounted even if it's not in balance, as long as the number of ballots in
the container match the # of ballots tabulated by the tape
Another counter to the disinfo campaign coming from the Republican canvassers in Wayne County: A review of data from the Nov. 2020 Wayne County Canvass showed a substantial improvement in the % of precincts in balance & recountable compared both to the Aug. 2020 & Nov. 2016
After a week of unintelligible arguments, this document from MI state elections staff is 🔥: comparing Aug & Nov 2020, Bureau of Elections determined that in Nov "a significantly higher % of precincts were recountable & when they were out of balance the imbalances were smaller"
Just to underscore the fact that when the Republicans say the election was worse this time, they're just lying: According to the Michigan board of elections, in August 2020, 53% of precincts in Wayne County were in balance or explained. In November 2020 that number rose to 71.9%
I'm sorry, can't stop. Reading this elections bureau report is my form of self care after this week: "The Bureau found that the percentage of significantly out-of-balance precincts – those w/ an imbalance of 5 or more – was also lower in Nov 2020 than Aug 2020" in Wayne County
Guys, reality-based statements from Michigan board of elections: "Together these figures indicate Detroit did a substantially better job of balancing precincts in November compared to August & also record keeping errors related to out of balance precincts were of a smaller scale"
And if that wasn't enough for you, board of elections says the improvement in Detroit is "particularly notable" given that 1) overall turnout in Detroit approximately doubled in Nov compared with August & 2) absent voter ballots approximately doubled when compared with August.
